This should have been posted like last week, but I was a slacker. Here is my second project a week. It was intended to be made in the blue tie dye material with a pink heart on the front. When I was attaching the heart, the blue material was getting destroyed. I was using the wrong size needle. Disgusted, I walked away and came back a day later. I decided to cut the area out where the material had holes and substitute it with the pink intended for the heart. I can live with it and she is happy so it's all good. I used my
serger and did a rolled hem for the sleeves and the bottom hem. I used
NL 6639 and it is a little big. I wanted it to be long (added 2 inches) because when she wears jeans and bends over - we get a little surprise. Next time I'll cut a smaller size and only add 1 inch. I also used this pattern to make the top for my daughter Halloween Costume when she went as Word Girl in 08.

Project a week 3 is a matching skirt - I ran out of thread at the end so I will post later this week.
