Goldie

She's finally here! Meet Goldie and she's mine all mine. Ain't she pretty. She is replacing my Kodak Easyshare that was umm...bootleg. It was run over by a car, lost, and dropped several times by every family member. Somehow through all of that it still took pictures. The LCD screen was broken and the menu button did not respond (this did not matter because you couldn't see what you selected anyway). When I wanted to take a picture I had to turn the camera on and walk away because the it took 2 minutes for the lens to open. I know...bootleg. I would take a pic and my little guy would scream with delight, "Let me see mommy." Sorry baby, but the camera is broken - even though he heard this 100 times he would forget and ask to see after each shot. So sad, but today is a new day because Goldie is here. I can't wait to use her.

lol at the comment from Hub... How did you decide on this camera? I thought you were leaning toward the Lumix.

I decided to go with the Canon based on all the positive reviews and the price. I wanted the Pansonic for the wide angle lens but @150 bucks I couldn't pass up the ELPH1100. I plan to get a SLR in the future so that will be my serious camera.
