The crazy tooth is gone as of this morning. There was no way that tooth was going to make it at the crazy angle it was at. The dentist we saw on Monday wanted to save the tooth but we (particularly the Hubby) was nervous that it would take another blow since the Little Guy is so active. We didn't want it to lodge in the gum, snap, or cut his lip.
Last night right before bed he walked into a door. He opened the door slightly and looked back to see if I was following. He just started walking and hit the door. The tooth started bleeding again - Geez! This morning while putting on his shirt he bumped it again and cried in pain. Good thing we were already going in to see another dentist for a second opinion. The initial x-ray (Monday) only showed a hairline fracture. The x-ray this morning showed a clean break so the tooth needed to go. I think when he hit the door it may have finished the job. He was also rocking the tooth back and forth with his tongue which could not have been a good thing. Another girl in his preschool class knocked her tooth out over the weekend also on a shopping cart. That's kind of weird. So I present you with photos.
