Sweet Summer Days 2010- Strawberry Picking

To kick off the first day of summer break for the kids we went strawberry picking with neighbors. I remember picking strawberries as a child and eating strawberry shortcake soon after - my favorite. I LOVE strawberries! Check out my little strawberry pickers. They did a great job but after a while they lost interest (sandbox close by) and mama took over. We ate 1/2 of the strawberries in 24 hours and froze the rest. They are all gone now but the best were the Cherry Limeade and Strawberry popsicles we made. Yum!
